Hello World | My First Blog Post
After a number of months, few days ago, I finally set out to make my own blog where I can write whatever I feel of talking about. It was a nice learning experience.
Who are you?
I am Aashish. A random guy from Goa, India. I live close to the great mountains of Western Ghat surrounded by lush green forest which I love. I love to travel, take photos and eat delicious food. I watch anime, read manga/manhwa, listen to music, just your usual stuff. My work and personal experience span across various industries, seen all kinds of things and have developed patience and empathy.
I embrace the saying "Jack of all trades". Most people say it as a form to demean others but for me, it's my strength. I can understand many things even if not in-depth, I can understand that any job is not easy, I can understand that every job takes a lot of effort. There are no low tier jobs. Only jobs that people can't respect that they should respect. Every job is a crucial job. Hence, why this blog is random and why I call myself a random guy because ultimately, I am just a random person in the world doing something.
Why did you choose Framer over well established blog sites like Wordpress?
I chose Framer because I liked how it looked and operated. Quite simple actually. I have had my fair share of experience with Wordpress and sure, you can get some amazing looks, it's CMS is painless but it comes with it's clunkiness, lack of customizability if you don't know how to code. It can be frustrating. Framer, on the other hand does require you to learn it but if you are a designer, you can easily plan things out and then it's just trial and error till you get it right. Framer also has a really good amount of templates to choose from. In-fact, this blog is made using a template and it looks nice, doesn't it?
What do you plan on doing with this blog?
I will post about whatever things I fancy. This is my Random blog afterall xD.
What will you write about?
Atm, I don't have any plans on what I will write about. I will just write whatever things I think about that I feel I want to make a blog post about. I have set five categories: Food, Social, Tech, Thoughts, Random.
Food: Talk about food, about places I like to eat at, about dishes I like or not like. My experience with food and my cooking.
Social: About things surrounding us, our daily lives. The menace around us. Solutions to tackle and solve them.
Tech: Any kind of tech I have used previously or use now, my experience with them, their pros, their cons, why one should use something.
Thoughts: Just thoughts I have in mind which I want to put out like this post for example. My thoughts in the wild.
Random: Anything that doesn't fit the above four categories. These could be about some show I watch, something I read, music artists, cooking or my travel experience? Who knows, it's random afterall. Roll a dice to find out!!
What will you do about the template articles?
I will eventually delete them as I write more blog posts. I will have them up, until then. They cause no harm anyways and give me a good idea on how the layout will look like.
Can you tell us more about yourself?
As mentioned earlier, I am Aashish. A random guy who has dwelled in many things. I have worked as Back Office Staff, Sales Executive, Cashier then as Community Manager, Event Organizer, Streamer, Graphic Designer, Video Editor and now writing something. I am a pet parent with two-to-four cats, two kittens and a doggo or two.
I have managed one community or other over the past five years. I will talk in more detail about how my community management and event organizing came to be in another post. As one may see, I live up to my name as a "Jack of all trades".
